      During the current development cycle, we are revamping the support page to give out country specific contact information as well as direct linkage to the right channels.

      • Quick Optimizer disappears

        I enable the quick optimizer in the companion settings to be put in the tool bar. Any time I open the regular companion, it disappears from the toolbar and needs to be enabled in settings again.

        • Systems Updates Fail

          I have Lenovo Companion Version 3.45.1.0 When clicking on Systems Update, previous updates and latest installs do not list. It is as if I never had an update. When checking for Updates, nothing happens for 10 minutes (0%) resulting in my cancelling the update. I recently updated about 7 days ago therefore, a history should exist but it is blank.

          • Lenovo Companion Calling My G500 Think Pad!

            I have a Lenovo G500. Why is Companion calling it Think Pad? Why are we all having Lenovo Service Bridge, Lenovo Solution Centre, & Lenovo Companion all in one Computer? Honestly, try to get one good package rather than littering everywhere with applications that at best duplicate each other's functions... It is a waste of time and computer storage.. Regards...

                  Here is the official links hosted on Lenovo to help fix this issue. First run the clean tool and then run the full install of version 8.1 to update your software.

                • Battery cycle count is stuck at 37

                  Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro 13", windows 10 Family
                  Lenovo companion doesn't seem to recognize the cycle count for my battery, which is a little anoying.
                  My battery also flashes red because I do not have a secondary one.

                  Please fix these little bugs.

                  • If Companion was meant to subsitute Lenovo Solution Center, it was badly conceived

                    Ever since I upgraded to Win10 from Win 7, I have issues that Lenovo has not addressed....

                    1. My fingerprint software reader is malfunctioning, I get a pop-up on starting the system that requests my password, after inputting password, it asks me if I would like to register fingerprints, which I already did. If I try to, then it says "sensor cannot be reached"

                    2. Lenovo Solution Centre has started continually providing me with Alerts saying that I need to perform a windows update even though it is up to date

                    3. I am also getting an alert that F5521gw…

                        Hi. I got an email from James LaCroix regarding, "Lenovo Companion & OneKey do not function correctly." I cannot find this thread any more, so I am starting a new one. I have questions: 1. In the solution, downloading a file is mentioned. Where is it? 2. We are instructed to use clcleaner.exe. Why is Lenovo instructing us to use a third-party software to solve Lenovo issues? I don't know enough about computers to know about the safety of using a registry cleaner. I have heard lots of horror stories. Please clarify. Thanks in advance.

                          Hey Scott,

                          Sorry for the confusion. I accidentally closed the thread last night. So far we had one person try the fix and are still reporting a failure so it appears to not have solved this as the developers had hoped.

                          For your questions:
                          1) I attempted to add it as a note to the entire thread but that appeared to not work; I was able to email it to a few peole but it did not correctly email to everyone that was subscribed to the thread.

                          2) CLCleaner.exe is produced by CyberLink Corp, which is the 3rd party software company that did the development work for OneKey Recovery on behalf of Lenovo. So please do not have any fear as to why it’s not branded Lenovo, it is officially licensed on behalf of our team.

                          I will make sure to have a correct Lenovo.com file posted for the fix…

                            Thank you for your input. There is currently a requirement for the System Update section of Companion to hide none critical updates. Look for this improvement in a future release of Lenovo Companion.

                                • Companion vs Solution system updates

                                  Same problem everytime , critical update on Companion App for Solution centre which keeps failing. Surely these updates get tested for compatiablity before been sent out. This is an ongoing issue between Companion and Solution . Lenovo get your act together.

                                    System Update shows two critical updates, Battery Gauge and Quick Optimizer. But when I click on Install Update, two failure messages appear and Battery Gauge disappears from Taskbar. First message is "Windows cannot find cmd.exe...." and second message is "Unable to execute file...". I can send screenshots.

                                          Thank you for your input. It appears you have upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10 and are experiencing problems with plug in installs. Based on you input please try the following.

                                          The Windows Update may be causing the service error. Please type “Services” in the Windows search bar and open Services desktop app.

                                          Select “System Interface Foundation Service” from the service name and check if the service is running in the status.

                                          If not running, right click and select “start” to start the service.”
