    • System Update does report available driver updates

      I have repeatedly tried to use the "system update" function of the Lenovo Companion tool. I have received some software updates this way, but it doesn't seem to report newer drivers -- even when several are published on the Lenovo support site when I check there. I was hoping that System Update would automate driver updates, but it hasn't for me.

        Microsoft Windows has all needed accessories for maintenance Lenovo doesn't offer anything different or better

            When running Lenovo Companion, I am not informed of outdated drivers, and Lenovo does not offer an automated driver update function.

            It is a problem as old as computers to keep the drivers updated. An automated driver update function will really be an advantage for your customers.

              Thank you for your input. The Lenovo Companion Team is currently working on an enhancement to the System Update function within Lenovo Companion that would support automated updates for all systems. We will post an update to this forum when completed.

              hardware scan should keep history of ALL hardware scan results... for the purpose of comparing reviews over time... i..e. .... i can review my latest hardware scan versus the first one i ever did and see my SSD has slowed down by 30% and maybe i should replace it... etc etc.

                  Thank you for your input. Plans are underway to re-instate the Fan Dust Removal function in the Lenovo Settings application.

                  Look for this enhancement in a future release of Lenovo Settings.

                        First, I think having 21gb free does not put me at risk of a "storage failure". Second, the link does not help me resolve the issue. Third, I couldn't find a way to silence the option.

                          My Lenovo is an IdeaPad S206. When I go on battery it just freezes every time. When I go on Hardware Scan it keeps on saying Not Responding. When I do the Optimisation it never finishes! Please fix this!

                              • Laptop P/N: 8922A26. Companion looks on the surface good, but it should replac e the Solution Centre completely.

                                Any program put out by Lenovo to assist in the up-keep of a machine should be all inclusive of what you need to do that. You should not have to install separate programs to do that. The average person not so computer savvy, wants to do things as simply as possible.
